Workshop outline
In this intensive half day workshop you can expect:
Principles of great design – A lively presentation and discussion introducing the key concepts of colour, images, typography and composition.
Foundation skills in Affinity – Practical training in which participants use free professional design software to apply the design theory they’ve just learned:
- Interface walkthrough
- Geometric illustration
- Managing images, importing rasters and vectors
- Organising content into groups and layers
- Basic text formatting
The workshop is lead by Peter Moore Fuller, an experienced graphic designer and research communicator. Peter can help you improve your:
- conference posters
- infographics
- graphical abstracts
- journal figures
- data visuals
- newsletters, books and policy briefings
